8 MAY 2018 Additive Manufacturing NEWS Stephanie Hendrixson / Senior Editor performance for the U.S. Navy's Office of Naval Research (ONR). ONR's goal is to use Senvol's soft- ware to help develop statistically substantiated material properties, in hopes of reducing conventional ma- terial characterization and testing. The software in development is powered by an algorithm that quantifies the relationships be- tween process parameters, process signatures, material properties and mechanical performance. The algorithm is AM material, machine, and process agnostic, and will be commercially available, Senvol says. senvol.com Rapid + TCT Adds Events SME and Rapid News Publications Ltd. (owner of the TCT Group), have announced two new events under the Rapid + TCT banner. Rapid + TCT West will take place on the West Coast annually, with the first iteration scheduled for October 9-10, 2019, in Santa Clara, Cali- fornia.
